Phra Khru Amornsuphakarn (Somtrong Amaro) was the fifth abbot of Wat Saphan Sung, Nonthaburi Province, a historic temple located along Khlong Phra Udom. He was a senior monk who played an important role during a transitional period in the succession of ecclesiastical leadership and the preservation of Buddhist esoteric traditions of Wat Saphan Sung, following the era of renowned masters such as Luang Pu Iam Pathamanam, Luang Pu Klin Chantharangsi, and Luang Pho Thongsuk Inthasaro.

His lay name was Somtrong. After ordination in the Buddhist monastic order, he received the monastic name Amaro. He was later granted the ecclesiastical title Phra Khru Amornsuphakarn and was appointed abbot of Wat Saphan Sung in 1987, succeeding Phra Samuh Son Siridhammo. He assumed responsibility for overseeing the temple during a period when society and the local community were gradually moving toward greater modernity.
